about

This is the second installment of the collaborative recordings by Voice of Eye and Life Garden. Air: The Hungry Void volume II departs where Fire: The Hungry Void volume I left you.The itinerary is further sound mapping expeditions into sonic textures of uncharted terrain.

Traveling much closer to the Void, sound spirals into a whirlpool of primordial soup - as gravimetric forces twist and distort, sounds swirl together like oil and water - air and fire. Shapes and images form in the fog of hazy, abandoned neural corridors - something familiar as yet unperceived, Life Garden and Voice of Eye have been busy rebuilding these ancient cerebral footpaths - spelunking into darkened machinery obtaining psychic treasures to join with our latest creations for the journey - Let's go - into the Void...

The Hungry Void series documents the collaboration of two American experimental groups. Voice of Eye of Taos, New Mexico and Life Garden of Phoenix Arizona combine old world instruments with instruments of their own design, modified with various digital effects processing. This series is taken from 12 hours of group improvisation and live recordings mixed into two continuous compositions: volume I: Fire, and volume II: Air.
